The major annual event organised from within the membership of IAARC is the annual symposia - ISARC.
- ISARCs generally take place annually and are hosted, in rotation, around the world (Europe, Asia, America, etc.). Papers presented at ISARCs reflect the global community with specific concern for all fields of construction, including civil and building engineering, machine automation, robotics applications to construction, IT technologies, planning, logistics, etc.
- The first 19 ISARCs, hosted in several countries world-wide, have yielded over 1,700 refereed papers bound into proceedings. Together these form a compelling illustration of how ARC developments continue to march towards the market place.
- Contributions from all continents at ISARCs provide the major platform for delegates to exchange views and information and discuss how they might work together on new projects.
In addition to ISARCs, workshops have been organised - mainly at national level. However there are some current initiatives in the regions for the establishment of networks to help close the technology-push market-pull gap that will involve scientists and end-users in real state of the art demonstrations and discussion fora.
The IAARC is closely related to many other international associations in the fields of automation, robotics, construction, etc. (CIB, IEEE, etc.). See related events.
