- Our objectives are...

to encourage, facilitate and promote the co-ordination of scientific and technical development in Automation and Robotics in Construction (ARC).

to facilitate the collection, compilation, publication, exchange and dissemination of scientific and technical ARC data and information.

to encourage the execution of fundamental ARC studies, to advance research, laboratory investigations and field tests and to accelerate the use of ARC.

to assist with the end-user application of AR in the construction industry.

These objectives are not just fine words. We are putting them into practice by:

Already one global research project, under the 'Intelligent Manufacturing Systems' initiative (www.ims.org) has been assembled using the friendships and memberships of IAARC. See the 'Technologies' tab for details.

This website also has a 'members-only' section where members can enjoy sharing information in discussion fora, present their detailed interests, read technical papers and much more. See 'membership' tab for details.

Numerous IAARC directors are on their host national advisory boards and advising policy-makers on how to take advantage of these emerging ARC technologies. State of the Art papers on regional developments are presented at most of IAARC's annual International Symposia (ISARC).
