Prof. Ronie Navon elected new President

Prof. Ronie Navon

Prof. Ronie Navon has been elected as the next President of IAARC for three years, starting from 2007.

Prof. Navon has over eight years of industrial experience And since 1990 he has been with the Technion's Department of Civil Engineering.

Prof. Navon is a co-recipient of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)'s Norman Medal for 1993, the 1998 Jacob Dori Prize – awarded by Haifa Municipality in recognition of special achievements in science and technology, the Mitchell Entrepreneurship Program award in 2001 by the Mitchell fund, ASCE's 2004 Thomas Fitch Rowland Prize and the International Association for Automation and Robotics in Construction (IAARC)'s 2004 Tucker-Hasegawa Award.

Prof. Navon is a member of the Editorial Board of Construction Management and Economics, Automation in Construction and the Journal of Civil Engineering and Management. He is a member of the Israel Society of Civil Engineers (ISCE), the Israel Union of Civil Engineers (IUCE), ASCE. He is also the chairman of the Advisory Committee to the Government Registrar of General Contractors in Israel.
