Tucker-Hasegawa Award to Prof. Thomas Bock

During the 25th International Symposium on Automation and Robotics (ISARC) held in June in Vilnius, Lithuania Prof Dr.-Ing/Univ Tokio Thomas Bock got the Richard Tucker – Yokio Hasegawa highest honor award. Dr. Ronie Navon, IAARC president gives him the plaque during the symposium dinner. Thomas Bock is professor at the Technical University in Munich, Germany.

Professor Bock is the immediate past president of IAARC and has been an internationally renowned leader in construction robotics for over 20 years. He has personally established and led well-known construction robotics laboratories, first at the university of Karlsruhe and subsequently at the technical University of Munich.

He is very well known outside of Germany, particularly in Japan and China, for his inspiration and leadership in construction automation and robotics research and dvelo0pment. He is truly unique in his combined experience as a practicing architect and a construction robotics engineer, able to communicate effectively with academic researchers and construction practitioners alike.
