Application of Climbing Robot RoSy II in the Business of Building Conservation

Abstract:

This paper intends to give a short overview about existing climbing robot systems and projects, the techniques of climbing robots and especially a description of the robots RoSy I and RoSy II. Furthermore it shows some aspects and arguments for the use of climbing robots and what climbing robots are able to do on construction sites regarding building conservation and maintenance today and tomorrow. RoSy II as an access equipment and a carrier for the none-destructive testing in civil engineering and for the building conservation. Finally, it will be stated what RoSy can already do today and tomorrow for the building industry.
