Abstract:

On formwork, more than 50 percent of construction cost is labor cost, since large number of skilled workers are required for site work. Therefore, it is important to reduce man-hours in order to improve productivity in this area. To reduce man-hours, it is necessary to improve work methods and to establish a scientific management technique for job control at the site. The purpose of the study is to improve productivity of form work. The work study techniques are introduced, and fifteen projects were observed. In the observations, process analysis and the man-hour measurement were carried out. Based on the observations, the statistical analysis was carried out. from the results of the study the points aimed at improving methods and job control are extracted.
