Abstract:

The WASCOR research project was organized in 1982 by the system science institute, Waseda university, Tokyo, japan, aiming at automizing building construction by robotics. This is collaborated by nine general contractors and a construction machinery manufacturer. WASCORIV has been working on the automized building interior finishing system. In the symposium last year, WASCOR IV reported a summary of the first year’s outcome in the report:part1 , which includes the outline of this three year project as well as the concept of point of production system (pop system). In this symposium , part2: part3: development of interior finishing unit assembly system with robot are presented. This paper which covers the part 3, is composed if the following two sections :1) the details of finishing units and building methods, and 2) the schematic design of construction robots.
