Abstract:

To develop a cost effective building automation system, there is a need for new way of thinking. Automating the traditional construction operations most likely woud not result in a sustainable and profitable sy stem. We must develop the automated sy stems in the context of construction work-processes ratber than traditional work functions. The objective of this paper is to propose new ideas and ways of designing construction automation system by focusing on work-processes and Computer Integrated Construction (CIC).
