Abstract:

The article describes some developmental aspects of the multi purpose interior robot(MPIR), a mobile construction robot. The analysis of specific attributes of the robot at the early stage of the conceptual design is discussed. Because numerous designs had to be compared, the analysis 'appraoch is one of simplicity, allowing quick assessments of designs' attributes. The attributes addressed in this articule are the robot's weight, stability, and cost.
