Development of Wall Inspection Robots

Use of wall-climbing robots for inspection or maintenance of wall surface has been anticipated for a long time. Four quite different models have been developed in our laboratory. The present model can move on a wall by using the thrust force of the propellers and can fly whenever it is required. Its mechanism and control system are discussed.
