1. Getting to the conference each morning

From 23 (Tuesday) to 25 (Thursday) June, a dedicated morning bus will bring delegates from the conference hotels to NUS EA.

Please be at the pickup point at least 10 minutes before departure.

2. Complimentary Shuttle Route

A half-hourly shuttle will operate between NUS EA and the hotel stops throughout the conference everyday from 22nd (Monday) to 25th (Thursday).

Operating hours: 9:00am to 7:00pm (or till the end of the programme for the day)

This is the main transport service for travel between the conference venue and hotels.

3. Welcome Reception transport back to Hotels

On Monday, 22 June, transport will be provided AFTER the Welcome Reception.

Departure time: 8:00pm
Pickup point: UCC
Drop-off: Conference hotels

Delegates attending the Welcome Reception may take this shuttle back to their hotel afterwards.

4. Gala Dinner shuttle to Star Vista

On Wednesday, 24 June, transport will be provided for delegates going to Star Vista.

This service is for delegates returning to the conference hotels from the evening programme.

5. Industry visit transport

On Thursday, 25 June, special return transport will be provided for delegates attending the industry visits. Delegates who have signed up successfully will receive emails during the conference regarding transportation arrangements.

6. Industry Day transport

On Friday, 26 June, return transport will be provided for delegates attending the Industry Day programme at BCA Academy.

Please follow the timings stated in the conference programme.

7. If you are staying at Park Avenue Rochester

Delegates staying at Park Avenue Rochester will have a dedicated hotel bus service.

Hotel guests will receive the details directly from the hotel.

If needed, delegates may also use the shuttle stop at Citadines Connect Rochester.

8. Important reminders

Arrive at the pickup point early
Be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before departure
Check that you are boarding the correct bus
If a shuttle is full, please wait for the next one
Keep your conference badge with you
Follow instructions from conference staff and transport marshals

He is the leader of the Centre for Sustainable Engineering and Open Research and Output Quality Lead, SCEDT, Teesside University. He is Editor in Chief: Smart and Sustainable Built Environment (SCI/JCR IF=3.6, CiteScore Tracker: 9.1) and Associate Editor: AUTOMATION IN CONSTRUCTION (SCI/JCR IF=10.3, Citescore: 16.7). Farzad has a robust research track record delivering more than 200 quality publications and more than 3800 citations. Farzad’s research covers various aspects of Construction 5.0, with a strong emphasis on adopting cutting-edge technologies to serve the NetZero and sustainability agenda, including XR for H&S training, AI and deep-learning for sustainable infrastructures and logistics, smart construction, circular construction, energy policies, data-driven digital twins, demand response optimisation, smart energies, DLT and blockchain technologies, and social innovation. Farzad has successfully led several high-profile research projects – from H2021, InnovateUK through to the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (CSIC), Scottish Funding Council (SFC), Data Lab, and Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC). Farzad secured research and innovation income of over £2.5m. This expertise and standing are also recognised through several high-profile bodies, including the International Council for Building (CIB) and buildingSMART International. He graduated with 10 PhD students in the topics across the fields above, and some of them are already senior academics at reputable institutions such as the University of Cambridge, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Salford, and some hold leadership positions in the industry.
